After a long season, the NVL Men secured second place and with it an opportunity to compete in the Division 2 Play Offs. Winners of the weekend would secure themselves the privilege of playing in England’s second highest tier. All that stood in our way was Lincoln Cannons and Hounslow VC. Prior to that the NVL Men had a bumper season after their Division 3 promotion the year before. Over the season, loses only came to the eventual league winners Bristol VC, with Exeter Storm narrowly loosing out on top spot by 1 point dropping just the 10 sets. We were pushed to the max against Wessex before travelling up to London to beat Richmond Bucks with debutants Harry Brett, Harry Hebard and Edu Tilhe all performing well above their years. Another highlight was a monster 1 minute 30 second rally at 23-24 to Spelthorne Lions.
Division 2 Central saw London Baks gain automatic promotion over Hounslow VC and Division 2 North Lincoln Cannons Men came second behind Hull Thunder with Exeter Storm loosing out to Bristol VC for first place in Division 2 South. All teams have thoroughly deserved the opporunity with Hounslow and Exeter Storm finishing second by 1 point and Lincoln by 2 points
